Cashier
Responsibilities
- Deliver friendly, fast, and helpful customer service at the register.
- Accurately check out merchandise/goods for customers using the location's payment preference options (i.e. cash, check, credit card, etc.)
- Issue receipts, refunds, exchanges, or credits when prompted.
- Resolve customer complaints, guide them and provide relevant information.
- Greet customers when entering or leaving the area.
- Maintain clean and tidy checkout areas.
- Track transactions on balance sheets and report discrepancies.
- Bag, box, or gift-wrap packages.
- Partner with other team members to meet target goals during your shift.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Cashier or Retail Sales Associate.
- Willingness to work in large venues, stadiums, convention centers, etc.
- Good math skills.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize and stay organized.
- Ability to follow directions and manage time effectively.
- Be able to work a variety of shifts, including nights and weekends.
- Ability to meet physical demands of the position, including walking, standing, and lifting potentially heavy items while interacting with customers.
- Understand common retail technology like POS systems, registers, scanners, calculators, smartphones, tablets, and computers.
- An outgoing and friendly behavior, a positive attitude, and an interest in interacting with customers.
- Have great communication skills and the ability to take direction in a team environment.
