Receiving Clerk
Responsibilities
- Receive and accurately record deliveries.
- Compare packing lists to purchase orders and ensure that the products in each delivery match the packing list.
- Update the product inventory as products are received and added to the inventory.
- Process merchandise ensuring items are floor ready, tagged, and ticketed.
- Maximize stockroom space and maintain the highest level of organization and efficiency.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving and stockroom space.
- Package products for return to vendors, filling out any paperwork necessary.
- Assure no damaged items are received.
- Support other areas of the store when needed.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a similar role.
- Team player with a collaborative spirit and positive mindset.
- Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal communication and organization skills.
- Physical ability to regularly lift/carry heavy equipment and stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to effectively plan and execute strategies.
- Ability to monitor and maneuver workflow to achieve priorities.
