Responsibilities
- Read and decipher purchase orders.
- Locate and pick merchandise from shelves and storage areas.
- Confirm merchandise information matches that of the purchase order.
- Inspect the merchandise for damage, flaws, and irregularities.
- Pack the merchandise for delivery or collection.
- Communicate clearly with customers and coordinate with colleagues as necessary.
- Provide feedback on the efficiency of the customer service process.
Requirements
- Previous experience in customer service or merchandising role.
- Team player with a collaborative spirit and positive mindset.
- Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks with strong attention to detail.
- Physical ability to regularly lift heavy items and stand for long periods of time.
- Excellent verbal communication and organization skills.
- Ability to stay calm when customers are stressed or upset.
- Ability to effectively communicate and present information to customers and colleagues.
- Basic math functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Self-starter, able to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
